Discoloration of Teeth
Patients with surface stains should not get veneers. This can be handled by teeth whitening. However, patients with fluorosis, tetracycline stains, or ‘dead’ teeth can definitely benefit because these problems run deeper than just staining and do not respond to whitening treatments.
Small Gaps
Working professionals who do not want to undergo a long orthodontic process can benefit from getting veneers because many minor gapping issues can be handled in just two or three visits.
Uneven or Misshapen Teeth
Teeth that do not form a smooth line from the front teeth to the molars, with them being different lengths, can benefit from veneers. Likewise people who have misshapen teeth that have unsightly bulges, divots, and chips.
Worn Teeth
Teeth that have been worn down over time either through natural wear or from bruxism, may appreciate veneers. However, if the patient does suffer from bruxism, a night guard will definitely be needed to prevent the grinding from damaging the veneer.
