Dental Criteria
Most adults and teenagers who qualify for metal braces can also choose Incognito. However, Incognito candidates will need to have all of their adult teeth. Certain bite irregularities, such as severe rotation or overcrowding, are better addressed with another type of braces. Very small teeth or extreme overbite can also prevent Incognito candidacy.
Patient Preference
Patients who prefer discretion during their orthodontic experience are more likely to consider Incognito over metal braces. Incognito braces remain an option for most patients who are not eligible for Invisalign treatment. Incognito does take more time to make and costs more than conventional braces, so patients should consider these factors before making a decision.
Incognito comes with unique, flattened brackets that are more comfortable than those of traditional lingual braces. Treatment time is similar to metal braces, so patients can expect their new smile to develop within about one to two years. A consultation with our dentist can be scheduled to find out if you are eligible for orthodontic treatment with Incognito.
