Before your veneers can be placed, you will have to undergo a comprehensive evaluation of your oral health to make sure you are a good candidate for the procedure. This evaluation entails making sure there are no cases of decay or disease in the mouth that could compromise the veneers. When you qualify, the next appointment will entail removing about 0.5mm of enamel so that the veneers can be placed. Impressions will be taken of your altered teeth, and your permanent veneers will be designed.
You will be given temporary veneers to wear between appointments, and these temporaries will be removed for your second visit. Your permanent veneers will be bonded into place, and any minor alterations can be made during this time so that they blend in seamlessly with the rest of your teeth.
