The procedure to create and place the crown is similar to the procedure for typical crowns, but because we mill the crown right in our office using a single block of porcelain, the process is much faster. This can significantly reduce your costs by eliminating the second visit along with the cost for the temporary crowns and any additional anesthetic that is needed. Dental insurance will generally cover the cost of needed crowns at a rate of 50 percent or more. Some patients are also eligible for financing options, including interest-free financing. Your cost may be affected if additional procedures are needed, such as a root canal or the placement of a post.
