Veneers
Veneers are thin, hard shells that are bonded to the front surfaces of the teeth. They are usually made out of porcelain, as this material is strong, durable, and looks much like natural dental enamel. Patients can choose to place them on all of the visible teeth, or only the ones with flaws.
It is important to take note that porcelain veneers are considered a permanent addition to the smile. Our dentist must remove a small amount of enamel from the surfaces of the teeth, so they do not appear too big once the veneers are placed. They will therefore not be strong enough on their own to function properly.
Lumineers
Lumineers are a type of veneer that work and look much the same as veneers. The main difference between the two is that Lumineers are slightly thinner. This allows them to be placed without the need for any removal of enamel. Lumineers can therefore be removed by our expert if needed.
