Follow these tips for the best results:
• Use about 18 inches of floss. Wind the floss around each middle finger, leaving about one to two inches of floss left to work with.
• Slide the floss gently up and down between your teeth
• Gently curve the floss around the base of each tooth.
• Use clean sections of floss as you go from tooth to tooth.
• Gently bring the floss up and away from the tooth in order to remove it.
It does not take a lot of force in order to get a thorough cleaning, so do not be aggressive when you are flossing your teeth. This can lead to cuts or bruises around the gum line.
